The 2024 Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, will see an end on the 18th of July, Thursday, with a lineup dominated by Trump family speakers. The last day of the meeting, assuredly to be reigned in by the Trump family, goes under the theme “Make America Great Once Again,” as former President Trump himself would accept the mic from an increased security detail following an assassin’s attempt on his life in Greensburg, Pennsylvania.

In addition to the former president, a number of his family members will take the stage on the convention’s final day:
- Donald Trump Jr., the former president’s son
- Eric Trump, the former president’s son
- Kimberly Guilfoyle, Donald Trump Jr.’s fiancée
- Kai Trump, Donald Trump Jr.’s 17-year-old daughter and Trump’s granddaughter, who is making her national political debut
The headline speaker will be Kai Trump—the first grandchild of the former president to speak at an RNC—and another indication that the GOP is looking for a passing of the torch to the next generation of the Trump political dynasty.
Other notable speakers
While the Trump family will surely command much of the attention, several other notable figures are slated to speak Thursday morning. Nominees to introduce the ex-president include:
- Dana White, the Ultimate Fighting Championship CEO,
- Mike Pompeo the former Secretary of State under the presidency of Trump and
- Republican candidate JD Vance; Trumps running mate who is supposed to accept the nomination to be the Vice President.
Trump’s speech: An act of reconciliation
Former President Trump is expected to deliver his speech at about 8:30 p.m. CT, with the rally expected to stretch on at least through 10:30. Trump had originally planned to deliver the speech in the style of an incendiary campaign rally but now says it will be a tonic of national unity—to finally “bring the whole country, even the whole world, together” since the recent assassination attempt.

The Trump family’s prominent close on the last day of the convention is symbolic of the fact that the Trump family is not removed from activities that are sculpting the future of the Republican party. Kai Trump’s speech, being the eldest grandchild, represented passing the torch to the new generation—a testimony to family dominance extending beyond generations in the GOP.
While the other days of the convention have been mostly dominated by other Republicans, the final day belongs to the Trump family and the ex-president, who will deliver the grandiose keynote address that many have longed to hear. He will simply complete the melange that the Trump family has hitched onto the national culture by the unique addition of Kai Trump, who identifies with the nation following a recent assassination attempt.
