They are giving an extra $850 payment at Citibank – These are the millions of Americans who can apply for reimbursement with the deadline coming soon

Find out who qualifies for the Citibank $850 settlement and how to apply before the deadline.

Why is Citibank offering an $850 payment?

Citibank has agreed to a $29.5 million settlement after being accused of violating the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). The lawsuit claimed that the bank made automated robocalls to people who were not customers, informing them of overdue balances on credit cards they did not have.

Even though Citibank has not admitted to any wrongdoing, it has agreed to pay eligible individuals up to $850 as part of the settlement.

Who is eligible for the Citibank $850 payment?

You may qualify for this payment if:

  • You are not a current or former Citibank customer.
  • You received at least five robocalls from Citibank regarding an overdue credit card balance.
  • The calls were made between August 15, 2014, and July 31, 2024.

You will need to provide proof, such as phone records or screenshots, to show that you received these calls.

How to apply for the Citibank settlement

If you think you are eligible, you can submit a claim in either of the following two ways:

1. Apply by mail

  • Fill out a claim form and mail it to:

Head v. Citibank, NA, PO Box 301134, Los Angeles, CA 90030-1134

  • Make sure your form is postmarked no later than December 20, 2024.

2. Apply online

  • Go to the official settlement website and complete your online claim form.

Both methods require your specific details to validate your claim, including:

  • Full name
  • Mailing address
  • Claim ID Number (if applicable)
  • Phone number where the calls were received
  • A signed statement confirming that you are not a Citibank customer

When is the deadline to claim the $850 Citibank payment?

The deadline to submit a claim is December 20, 2024. If you miss this deadline, you will no longer be able to receive compensation from this settlement.

Why is Citibank paying non-customers?

According to the law suit, Citibank has violated federal laws by generating illegal robocalls from an artificial voice or pre-recorded messages. Under the TCPA, companies cannot call someone without their consent, especially during telemarketing and debt collection.

Citibank decided to settle by paying eligible individuals rather than continuing to fight the case in court.

What happens if you do not file a claim?

If you qualify but do not submit a claim before the deadline, you will not receive any payment. The settlement fund will be distributed among those who successfully apply.
