Veteran Affairs disability benefits 

The VA determines a veteran’s disability rating based on the severity of a veteran’s condition. This rating is used to determine the kind of benefits and compensation payment that is packaged for each disability percentage. 

There is a certain percentage for 0% disability to 100%, with the highest percentage earning more benefits and compensation due to damage incurred during their service time.

Beyond the monthly compensation paid to VA with 70% here are some additional Benefits you can be entitled to: 

Health care for veterans with a 70% disability rating

Veterans Affairs categorizes the veterans by using priority groups, with each priority group having a copay. For a veteran to be placed under a health care priority group 1, the veteran will need to have a 50% service connected or they should receive total disability Based on individual unemployability (TDIU). With this criteria, veterans with a 70% disability rating are eligible to enroll for priority group 1. 

Here is the catch: a veteran who is eligible for oratory group 1, will benefit from the following: 

  1. Preventive care  
  2. Inpatient or hospitalization service
  3. Ancillary service 
  4. Mental health care 
  5. Extend and geriatrics care
  6. Veterans with 70% disability receive Medical equipment or prosthetic items as well as aid. 
  7. They are entitled to Medical supplies 
  8. Veterans will receive Dental care if necessary 
  9. If glasses are needed by a veteran with 70% disability then they will be provided 
  10. And earring aid etc 

Veteran benefits from a Vocational Readiness and Employment (VR&E) program

This offers a wide range of career services, some of these services include career counseling and rehabilitation planning for employment, it includes job training and job-seeking skills, it also includes resume development as well as other work-related preparations. 

Home loan guarantees benefits for VA with 70% disability

Home loan is offered to veterans to enable them to buy, fix, rebuild, and keep a loan. One key note you should know as a veteran is that the home loan is provided by private lenders and this is guaranteed by the Veterans Affairs making veteran favorable for a veteran to get these loans easily.

Veterans with a total disability rating of 70% and above with one or more dependents are automatically eligible for additional compensation. As such eligible dependent includes the following: 

  1. The veteran’s spouse 2.  Dependent parents 
    3.  A Child or children under the age of 18. 
  2. Children who are at the age of 18-23 and are in school, furthermore, this kid must not be married, if they are they are not eligible to be labeled dependent. 
  3. Disabled children who got disabled before reaching 18 years.
