As the 2024 presidential election draws close, everyone is eager to cast their votes for their favorite candidates.

For those who want to do it as soon as possible, early voting is available in many states, each with their own designated dates, allowing citizens to cast their ballot in person at the polling unit before the election. Some states will also allow absentee ballots to be cast.

As of March 2024, 46 states—including the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands—allow early in-person voting to all voters (including states with all-mail elections). However, Alabama, Delaware, Mississippi, and New Hampshire do not offer in-person voting, although they may have some optional eligibility for absentee voters.
