California citizens who want to use the early vote option can do so between October 7 and November 4.
The option of early voting, which makes it flexible for residents of the state and in various other states in the US, will allow you to cast your vote for your chosen candidate before the election day, ensuring that you can also exercise your rights to vote irrespective of how your schedule can be.
To be able to do this, the state of California will send a ballot via mail to you as a registered voter a few weeks before the election, which can be sent back before or on election day, with your votes cast.
How does early voting work?
The 2024 presidential election between Republican Donald Trump and Democratic Party’s Kamala Harris will not be the first one that the early voting system has been used. The early voting system has been a consistent feature of several elections held in the United States.
Early voting is a system that is allowed in almost all US states, as it lets American citizens cast their votes as early as 45 days before the elections, provided that they meet the requirements for participating in elections in the country and in their resident states.
What do we know about the 2024 presidential elections?
The 2024 presidential election has gained global traction. The election has former president Donald Trump running against current Vice President Kamala Harris, with Vice President Harris becoming the Democratic Party’s candidate following the decision of current president Joe Biden to not pursue reelection.
Both candidates have also chosen their vice presidential candidates who will be running with them in the election, with Senator JD Vance of Ohio running alongside Trump and Governor Tim Walz of Minnesota being the running mate of Vice President Harris.
Both candidates have been able to participate in the first election debate, which was held on September 10, with many suggesting that Vice President Harris won the debate over her opponent. The vice presidential candidates of both parties will square off in a debate on October 1, with results from this helping to hopefully swerve the voters in their favor and winning the election that ensures their party produced the next president of the US.
