3 Whopper creations that are designed by their fans will be launched by Burger King at selected locations later this fall. These special burgers came as a result of the Million Dollar Whopper Contest which was started earlier this year by the fast food chain. For an opportunity to win a grand prize of $1 million, fans from all over the USA were invited to make their dream Whopper with an additional advantage of having it sold across the country for a limited time.

Soon after, customers will have an opportunity to taste these interesting Whoppers and select number one among them. This means that whoever manages to gain more votes will help his/her burger creator get a long sought after $1 million price.

The Million-Dollar Whopper Contest

In February, Burger King made headlines with an innovative contest where customers were asked to submit their most creative ideas for a Whopper. The competition quickly gained traction and thousands of submissions poured in from burger fans who hoped to see their ideas materialize into reality. Three finalists have emerged after several months of judging, each having a unique take on the classic Whopper. Pat O’Toole, who is the Chief Marketing Officer of Burger King North America, revealed that this was not an easy task at all, since narrowing it down to just three was quite hard on her part. Nevertheless, there’s confidence from fast food giants that they are going to bring something extraordinary among themselves.

We are certain that these creative and mouthwatering variations of the original Whopper sandwich will be cherished by our customers,” O’Toole said in a statement. “We can’t wait for this fall when they become available at restaurants across the country.

Meet the Three Finalists

The three finalists’ Whoppers are indeed very different from each other like their regions of origin, but they have one thing in common- boldness. California has two finalists while the third finalist hails from Nebraska which happens to be in Midwestern USA. Before moving onto specifics about these creations here are their outlines:

Fried Pickle Ranch Whopper (Fabian from California)

This burger takes a flavorful spin on a traditional Whopper with ¼ lb flame-grilled beef patty accompanied by pickle ranch sauce; fried pickles; bacon bits; Swiss cheese alongside lettuce all placed between toasted sesame seed bun. If pickles and ranch are your favorite then it shouldn’t take long for you to realize this is just what you need.

Maple Bourbon BBQ (Calvin from California)

This particular creation takes the Whopper to new levels through its rich maple bourbon sauce which adds sweetness together with smokiness to an ordinary flame broiled hamburger beef. Crispy onions, jalapeños, bacon bits on top which give this kind of cheeseburger additional hint of maple bacon seasoning.

Mexican Street Corn Whopper (Kelsie from Nebraska)

This Whopper is inspired by the bald Mexican street food flavors, and includes a ¼ lb. flame-grilled beef patty topped with street corn spread, lettuce, tomato, Southwest-seasoned tortilla crisps, and Mexican spicy queso.all served at a huge restaurant.

How to Try and Vote

These fresh innovations won’t make fans wait too long for sampling purposes. As said by Burger King, details on how patrons would be able to sample the finalist burgers and vote for their top choices will come out sometime in mid-November. At participating Burger King outlets, patrons can vote for which Whopper they think is worthy of the million-dollar award once they’re made available.

Essentially, voting will be used to stream-line the process of picking out which fan’s Whopper is number one. Creator of that burger would walk away with a whopping $1 million prize for a burger but most votes went towards it.

A Creative Take on the Iconic Whopper

The Million-Dollar Whopper Contest by Burger King represents yet another instance in which this fast food chain remains innovative and interactive with its loyal clientele. Through such an approach that enables fans to craft their own whoppers, other than the same old ones, it gives way to an array of different tastes and interesting variations on the classic classic. No matter if you love fried pickles or BBQ sauce or adores Mexican street corn, definitely not missing a whopper that will quench your desire.
