The FDA recently had several edible products recalled after they were classified as unfit for consumption. These products included Refresco’s brand of apple juice, which has been on sale in various top stores, including Walmart, BJ’s, and Aldi.
This recall, which is for the possibility of arsenic contamination, strengthens the commitment of the FDA to continuously ensure that the health and safety of Americans is of utmost priority when placed side by side with purchases made of products.
Why have the recalls happened?
The recall of the apple juice is a result of the possibility that it contains arsenic contamination, which, when consumed, can cause adverse health risks that can see its intake cause vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain, and muscle cramping.
The sale of the apple juice was initially stopped voluntarily for recalls on August 18 and then upgraded on August 26. This recall of the product was initially termed a class two recall as exposure to it could lead to medically reversible health conditions.
