With the holiday season now coming to a close, most big-box retailers begin their post-Christmas sales. Deep discounts across a huge array of products are available: from electronics to home goods, one can find just about anything at prices low enough to make it worth shopping through the post-holiday sales. Here is a look at some of the best after-Christmas sales from prominent retailers, including Amazon, Walmart, Target, and Best Buy.
Post-holiday shopping trend overview
Consumption by Americans in terms of spending, through the year, proved quite strong; for December retail sales, estimates indicate upswings of 2.5% to 3.5% versus a year ago. Estimation by the National Retail Federation puts shoppers’ spend on purchases at almost $1 trillion dollars during November and December. In many cases, retailers do find themselves in a relatively reduced holiday shopping window as anxiety about inflation starts affecting buying activities; hence, considerable desperation around post-holiday promotion.
Retail analysts say this year’s post-Christmas discounts are a bit more generous than they were last year. Retailers are pulling out all the stops to drive demand and persuade consumers to keep on spending as they close out the holiday season, says Neil Saunders, retail analyst at GlobalData.
Best deals from major retailers

- Kitchen appliances: The other kitchen gadgets also come with deep discounts.
Daily new deals are also added where the best discounts are mainly reserved for Prime members.

The Walmart strategy is to focus on their everyday low prices but then also be very aggressive about competing with other retailers during this time of high demand shopping.
