Rite Aid, known as a one-stop shopping store, is closing a lot of stores this year. In a court document filed on Friday, the company disclosed plans to close 18 more stores in Michigan and 13 in Ohio. This is in addition to the 27 stores that were closed in June, and several others that were initially closed in January and February.

Currently, there are 1,592 Rite Aid stores across all states in the US, and customers are wondering which store will be closed next. A total of 74 stores have been closed since January 2024, and a lot more are to be closed, according to the report. In 2023, Rite Aid stores closed a total of 520 stores.

Rite Aid store closures are part of its voluntary Chapter 11 bankruptcy petition filing, announced in October 2023.

In an interview, the CEO of Rite Aid, Jeffrey S. Stein said: “As part of this process, we are going to be closing certain of our underperforming stores,”
