Starting January 7, 2025, McDonald’s is going to introduce the biggest addition: a new McValue menu that brings great meal solutions at very affordable prices. The move comes as the cost of food continues to rise and the desire for value-oriented eating out occasions grows. To this day, the McValue menu has brought together several irresistible offerings created to satiate a variety of tastes, making sure that our customers can have their favorite meals at low prices.
McValue menu launch overview
The new menu, McValue, will be released nationwide as a strategic step in increasing the value offers by McDonald’s amid increased fast-food industry competition. This comes after launching the very successful $5 Meal Deal, first put forward in June 2024 as a limited-time offer but later extended since it gained popularity among its customers. Joe Erlinger, President of McDonald’s USA, said the new platform is all about letting customers define value on their terms, through providing flexibility and affordability that fits individual tastes.
Key features of the McValue menu
The McValue menu will have two key offers:
- $5 meal deal: The deal is still the linchpin of the McValue platform and comes with:
- McDouble or McChicken choice
- Four-piece Chicken McNuggets
- Small fries
- Small soft drink
The combination is a filling meal for only $5 and hence quite attractive to the cost-conscious consumer.
- Buy one, get one $1: This is a new offering that lets a customer buy one item at full price on the McValue menu and get another one for $1. The deal applies through most meal windows and includes:Â
- Breakfast: Sausage McMuffin, Sausage Biscuit, Sausage Burrito and Hash Browns.
- Lunch/Dinner: Six-piece Chicken McNuggets, Double Cheeseburger, McChicken, Small Fries
This customization allows users to compile their favorite items to maximize the experience without having to break the bank.
App exclusive offers
Along with the standard board menu items, McDonald’s plans to offer some deals exclusively through its mobile app. The location-based deals, when accessed through the app, will also reward customers for accessing the restaurant chain digitally. This value-added technology integrated into their business model will allow targeting of more tech-savvy people who look for convenience and great deals.
Customer-centric approach
The introduction of the McValue menu shows that McDonald’s is bound by a promise to listen to customers’ voices. Erlinger further explained that another important factor in developing good value offerings is the need to understand customer preference; hence, the company has been working hand in hand with its franchisees to ensure the new platform will deliver on meeting local demands without compromising quality and taste.
Cory Watson, a 2025 National Value Chair at McDonald’s, reiterated that it is the voices of the customers that are driving menu choices. He said no matter what location, the customers are all saying the same thing, and that’s wanting their favorite foods at affordable prices.
