Target corporation operates a large scale food and general merchandise stores and is quite popular in the United states. Target offers veterans 10% off on all items purchased by veterans in celebration of veterans day. Recently, the 10% off includes independence day as well. So veterans can take advantage of the discount on these two days annually. However, to benefit from this discount by target, you have to create a free ‘Target Circle account’. This account is the target corporation’s means of verifying that you are indeed a veteran. So, you will be required to submit necessary documents to verify your identity. Once verified, you can claim your 10% discounts on veterans and independence day to purchase any item from target stores or online.

Do Walgreens give veterans discounts?

Walgreens offers a 20% discount to veterans. Walgreens are particularly involved in dispensing healthcare products. However, they offer sales of merchandise like groceries, food products and others. There are requirements that you must meet to benefit from this discount as a veteran and that includes: 

  1. Showing valid veteran identification 
  2. Have a myWalgreen reward account – you can request for one at a Walgreens store, online or download the myWalgreens app to gain access.

You can use the 20% discount on veteran’s day. Additionally, you can choose to combine this discount with other discounts provided by Walgreens on said date.

Costco veteran discount 

Costco gives $30 worth of costco shop cards to veterans, retired military members, spouses and dependents. To claim this discount you are required to purchase the costco membership activation certificate as  a new member and to  provide your correct information into the SheerID Military Verification tool on the discount page. Your costco membership activation certificate can be presented at any costco local  wholesales store customer counter. After this, you will then receive your $30 shop card via mail. Additionally, costco provides an executive membership option which allows you to save on every purchase. Executive members can receive more than $1000 annually.
